Last week the 2018 season got underway at Chester Racecourse with the three-day spectacular, the Boodles May Festival. The event ran Wednesday 9 – Friday 11 May and gave racegoers the opportunity to witness top-class racing within the fine surroundings of Chester.
Nearly 58,000 spectators graced the Roodee’s presence over the three days, 9,000 of those in hospitality facilities alone. A team of over sixty Horseradish chefs worked throughout the festival to create delicious dishes.
Sumptuous five course plated menus were designed meticulously for Hospitality Box guests using the finest locally sourced seasonal produce, including Wye Valley asparagus and Goosnargh corn-fed chicken.
Other offerings included contemporary grazing bowl food in the exclusive MBNA Paddock Club, artisan platters in the Festival Village and Final Furlong Restaurant and traditional afternoon tea for Owners & Trainers in the Pavilion Suite.
Racegoers across the course were treated to a range of street food concepts, including Lebanease from the Fattoush Grill and Indian from Global Eats. The re-branded Parade Ring Corner in the Paddock Enclosure provided the perfect spot from which to enjoy a bite to eat whilst viewing the horses in the Parade Ring and mingling with friends.
The next fixture at Chester Racecourse is MBNA Roman Day on Saturday 26 May. Hospitality packages are available to purchase online here from just £67.50+VAT per person*
